Thank you for your interest! This event registration is now full.

Join UNH Extension Foresters, Mike Gagnon, and Steven Roberge at Three Oaks Tree Farm for a relaxed winter tree and shrub identification walk on the land of Hillsborough resident, professional logger, and long- time NH Tree Farmer, Jack Bronnenberg. On this guided walk you will learn how to identify numerous species of trees and shrubs in winter using visual clues besides just leaves such as branching patterns, buds, bark, smell, taste, cones, fruits, and habitat. During this walk we will also learn from Jack about a variety of ways he is managing his registered NH Tree Farm for wildlife habitat and timber production, putting the ecology of the plants we encounter into the management context.
