TREE AND SHRUB IDENTIFICATION WORKSHOP
Join UNH Extension foresters and educators Dode Gladders and Steven Roberge on Sunday, July 19, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. for a Tree and Shrub Identification Workshop at Distant Hill Gardens in Walpole, NH. This two-hour workshop will be held in the forests, fields, and wetlands of Distant Hill.
Learn how to identify numerous native species of shrubs and trees, along with a few invasive plant species, by using the plant's leaves, bark, branching patterns, smell, taste, habitat, cones, and fruits as clues.
This workshop will be held outdoors on the gently rolling, wheelchair- and stroller-accessible Distant Hill Nature Trail.
