Please complete the survey to help NH DAMF's request for financial assistance from USDA

In 2024, Congress appropriated $220 million for farmers in eight states with smaller agricultural footprints to help address weather-related losses in 2023 and 2024.
Alaska, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont met the criteria to receive funding through block grants:

A small task force consisting of three producers and three UNH Extension staff has been working with the NH Dept. of Agriculture, Markets and Food (DAMF) Commissioner, Jasper, and Assistant Commissioner, Marshall, to learn the needs of NH’s farming community and the parameters of USDA.

Below is a survey link to help Commissioner Jasper submit a request for funds. The data will also help NH DAMF set up a program to meet our farm communities’ needs.

This program is not about crop loss; it’s a separate program to cover other losses related to weather events in 2023 and 2024, as the questions in the survey will illustrate.

Time is of the essence. If your farm recorded an average of $10,000 or more in gross revenues over the past three years, please fill out the survey using the following link:  https://unh.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3xG9A6ptC7OVEa2
