Each session brings together UNH Extension educators and staff from the NH DAMF, Division of Pesticide Control to help you learn about applicable regulations, common mistakes and practical strategies you can use to avoid problems in the field.

Water Works: Navigating the rules for pesticide applications near and in water.
Applications around ponds, lakes, streams, wells and other waterbodies come with specific requirements, setbacks, and restrictions. In this session, we’ll talk about where you can and can’t apply, where to find information about the location of water sources, and how to avoid some of the most common compliance pitfalls.

WPS is a federally mandated program intended to keep agricultural workers safe in the presence of pesticide use. Today we’ll touch on the basics: Central Notification, Training, and how some of the many record keeping requirements can be combined to simplify your life.

Drift Happens, but it Doesn't Have to: Keeping pesticides where they belong.
Pesticide drift can create problems for people, plants, property, and the environment—and it can lead to violations. In this session, we’ll look at the rules surrounding drift, the factors that contribute to off-target movement, and practical steps applicators can take to prevent it.

Good recordkeeping is more than checking a box. It helps demonstrate compliance, protect your business, and provide a useful record of what happened in the field. In this session, we’ll break down what records are required, when they need to be completed, and practical ways to keep accurate records without making paperwork harder than it needs to be.

Heads-Up: Weeding out the notification requirements for turf and right-of-way applications.
Categories B and G2 each have specific notification requirements leading up to a pesticide application. In this session, we’ll talk about the requirements, step by step, and learn the exceptions to the rules.
