As an Extension Field Specialist, Claes works to engage youth, informal educators and 4-H volunteers in STEM learning. He is responsible for developing inquiry based STEM activities and curriculum, training 4-H volunteers, teachers and out of school time professionals and running STEM and Maker based events. He provides support for 4-H volunteer leaders and 4-H clubs throughout Carroll County. He develops and helps run 4-H STEM and Maker activities and events and runs a 4-H Makers club in Carroll County and New Hampshire.
