Insider Tips for Living Well in New Hampshire

Welcome to the Granite State! You’ve made your way to New Hampshire. Now what? We may be one of the smaller states (still larger than Massachusetts), but we make up for it by being big on adventure, opportunity and quality of life.

The University of New Hampshire (locals call it UNH) is the state’s flagship public university with a main campus nestled in the Seacoast region’s town of Durham. UNH provides world-class opportunities not just for students, but for everyone in the state. An important mission of the university is to improve the state’s quality of life and that is the basic mission of UNH Cooperative Extension. We do this by providing research-based practical information and opportunities.

We partner with local governments to staff public offices with specialists in all ten of the state’s counties. Land-grant universities throughout the U.S. have Extension programs, so the name might sound familiar. Our programs are either free or low-cost and open to all. Information we share is practical and our specialists are down-to-Earth, friendly folks. We believe that education doesn’t have to be formal – it just needs to be trustworthy and helpful!
