Are you looking to improve your map and compass skills? Do you volunteer to monitor conservation easements or boundary lines, or just want to feel more comfortable walking off-trail in the woods? This training will introduce you to basic map and compass skills. We’ll spend ~ 2 hours indoors learning the basics before heading outside to put our new skills to the test. Perfect for conservation commissioners, land trust volunteers, private landowners, or others interested in navigating off-trail.

What to Bring: If you have a compass of your own, please bring it, but we will have compasses available for those who need one. Please come prepared to spend a couple hours outdoors walking off-trail through variable terrain.

Registration: Limited to 12 participants. In order to ensure this program is accessible for all, there are three registration fee options - $0, $5, or $10. Please pay what you can.
