What is 4-H Wildside?
4-H Wildside is a year-round outdoor recreation program for youth & families that targets:
- Physical fitness improvement
- Environmental literacy expansion
- Wilderness skill development
4-H Wildside engages hundreds of families a year, state-wide. The program is designed to reach families according to their capacity and level of independence. Each season has a Challenge that prompts youth to accomplish a specific set of criteria related to the program’s targets above. Youth are awarded a patch of completion when they accomplish the Challenge. Youth who complete four challenges a year are awarded a 4-H Wildside shirt. If you want to learn more about the challenges, check them out here: https://extension.unh.edu/new-hampshire-4-h/wildside-challenges-2025
