Join licensed forester Peter Renzelman and UNH Extension County Forester Matt Kelly for a tour of a private woodlot that was thinned eight years ago and where beech control methods were used. Peter and Matt will lead a discussion about red oak and beech ecology, management approaches to promote red oak regeneration, and techniques to help prevent beech from dominating future stands. We will also discuss beech leaf disease, its impacts, and how it may change our thinking on managing beech going forward

Registration is free, but space is limited.
