New Hampshire 4-H will be hosting a Clay Shoot following the Hunter Education Field Day on October 11, 2025 at Barry Conservation Camp, Berlin, NH. This event (the 4-H portion of the day) will follow the Field Day and will last approximately two hours.

The Clay Shoot is open to adults and youth participating in the Hunter Education Field Day. Similar to the Field Day, there is a maximum of 30 participants, and all participants must be ages 12 and older.

Cost is $20, non-refundable. (A fee is charged for this Extension program to cover costs. A limited number of scholarships are available to individuals unable to pay.)

Every shooter will have the opportunity to shoot 20-gauge shotgun at single and double thrown clays. Firearms, ammunition, and clays will be provided.  (NOTE: NO personally owned firearms and other equipment allowed.)

Register early for both this 4-H event and for the Field Day! Spots in the Hunter Education Field Day tend to fill up quickly and participants must sign up via the Fish & Game event to participate in the Field Day.  (Registration in this 4-H event will not register participants for the Field Day. Register separately for the two events.)

Event takes place rain or shine so dress for the weather. Bring sunscreen and bug spray!

If you need an accommodation to participate in our programming, please contact Shannon MacKay, shannon.mackay@unh.edu or 603-259-6566 prior to the event. Given ample time, we will make any reasonable effort to meet your needs, including language access services if requested, which will be provided free of charge.
