Join NH Division of Forests and Lands Forester, Connor Breton, Wildlife Habitat Program Manager, Jim Oehler, and UNH Cooperative Extension’s Strafford County Forester, Lindsay Watkins, to learn about how and why the silvicultural methods used were chosen to implement and achieve management goals, the benefit of a cut-to-length operation for this particular timber harvest, wildlife species expected to benefit from the recent harvest and why they are of particular interest.
Impacts on recreational use are also a consideration in NH State Parks. Outreach and communication with the general public were an important component of keeping people aware, informed, and safe during the operation.
