We are always looking for ways to provide enriching opportunities for volunteers. There are several coming up in 2026.
The first is a free Youth Behavior Management training. This training helps volunteers learn more about positive youth development, how to engage parents, how to keep control of the group and much more. There are two sessions so choose which one works best for your schedule. The 2nd free Volunteer opportunity is a Leadership Training workshop. This workshop will identify the qualities to develop to become better leaders. Other topics will explore different work styles, how to work as a team with differing work styles, understand the need for differing workstyles and much more. Another opportunity for volunteers relates to becoming a WildGuide. 4-H is searching for Wild Guides to host outdoor recreational experiences for youth and families that align with the Wildside Challenge criteria. Wild Guides expand possibilities for youth to have growth in the three target areas of: physical fitness, environmental literacy, and wilderness skills.
There are two virtual training sessions to choose from: January 6, 2026 6:00 pm or January 13, 2026 6:00 pm. Registration is open now.
