NH 4-H Summer Unplugged Series

School's out for summer and it's time to unplug.  NH 4-H has designed several “4-H to Go” kits for youth and families to help move away from the screens and get outside! The 4-H Summer Unplugged Program series contains 5 hands-on projects that can be done at home with the hopes of some end of summer, in-person 4-H experiences in your communities.   Each program has been created for youth of all ages, giving everyone a chance to get involved, learn something new, and have fun. From growing your pizza ingredients to tie-dying with cabbage, to identifying that chirping sound in your backyard to building a cardboard oven- there is something for everyone. Upon registration, families will receive their kits via mail or “4-H to Go” at home delivery via 4-H staff. Register through 4-H Online today as spaces are limited!

*There are limited family scholarships available for each program- please reach out to your program manager for support if needed.

Designing with Nature

What is your favorite flower, tree and shrub? Better yet, have you recently played with your fruit and vegetables? The Designing with nature program gets kids noticing all of the flora around them and gives them a chance to use them to make art! Your at-home kit comes with materials for youth to learn new stamping and printing art techniques while finding out more about the natural plants found in New Hampshire. Participants will learn.  During the second week of our program, participants are invited to an in-person tie dying party, where they will get to play with some produce (as in fruit and veggies) where they will tie dye 4-H apparel.
