Back to Basics: The Non-Nutrition Side of Feeds and Feeding

This hybrid event is designed to shed some light on the non-nutritional side of feeds and feeding. Dr. Sarah Allen, the Dairy State Specialist, and Kendall Kunelius will be sharing information about the most unpredictable expense on your farm: your feed bill. Information will include understanding how world events impact grain prices, a quick overview of the milling and manufacturing process, bulk bins/silos, how to calculate the price per pound of feed, and how to get the most out of your relationship with your feed rep. This will be designed to cover all livestock species including beef cows, dairy cows, poultry, swine, sheep, and goats.
