Making Pickles: The Cucumber to Pickle Project at Cornucopia Project Farm

How about learning how to take your cucumbers and turn them into pickles!!! A delicious vegetable (technically a fruit!) into a delicious snack! If you joined the challenge from the start and have been growing cucumbers all summer then now is the time to harvest them and bring them to the first of two workshops we will be offering from 10:00am-12pm on Friday August 18th at the Cornucopia Farm at 49 Vose Farm Road in Peterborough, NH. All supplies will be provided even if you did not go to one of the previous workshops in June. Bring a friend, neighbor, or family member all will be welcome. 4-H will share information and recipes. Participants will be invited to enter a jar of pickles into the Hillsborough County Fair! A Raindate of Tuesday 8/25 has been set.  This workshop will be outside so please make sure to dress appropriately and bring water bottles and suntan lotion.  All supplies and seeds will be provided to 4-H Members so make sure you register today!  Please feel free to reach out to Eric McCambly 4-H Program Manager Hillsborough County at Eric.McCambly@unh.edu with any questions!
