Heads Pond Trail Hike

-
In-Person

1847 Daniel Webster Highway
Hooksett, NH 03106
United States

Come explore the outdoors with Wild Guide Dale Carney on April 25, 2026!

This relaxed, beginner‑level hike follows a mostly flat trail filled with spring wildlife, varied habitats, and educational kiosks we’ll stop to enjoy together.
Dress for the day’s weather and expect damp ground. Bring comfortable footwear, water, energizing snacks, and—if it’s chilly—spikes for any icy spots. Kids are welcome (ages 4+), and extra clothing layers are a smart idea for them. Binoculars make wildlife spotting even more fun.

Please do not bring pets.

Keep in mind there are no outhouses, so pack any personal essentials you may need.

This beautiful Heads Pond Trail outing also checks off two Wildside Spring challenges: Walk, Run or Hike Fitness and Creepy Crawly Creatures. Don’t forget your logbooks which you can find here: Wildside Challenges | New Hampshire 4-H.

We can host up to 20 hikers—save your spot now!
There is more outdoor adventures waiting for you throughout the state.  Take a look: Outdoor Education | New Hampshire 4-H
