UNH Cooperative Extension: Pesticide Training Workshops for Supervisory Registration Certificate - General Use

The UNH Cooperative Extension will host a series of training workshops for individuals seeking a Supervisory Registration Certificate - General Use, issued by the New Hampshire Division of Pesticide Control. These workshops are designed to help participants prepare for the State of New Hampshire certification exam.

Workshop Overview

Participants will have the opportunity to complete training in the Core subject area, which covers the National Pesticide Applicator Certification Core Manual and the NH Code of Administrative Rules. In addition, category-specific training is available in the following areas:

  • Turf (G2)
  • Shade & Ornamental (G1)
  • Right-Of-Way (B)
  • Forestry (C1)
  • Mosquito & Black Fly (F2)

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the Supervisory Registration Certificate - General Use, applicants must:

  1. Complete 8 hours of Core Training (General Instruction)
  2. Complete 8 hours of Category-Specific Training for each category they are applying for (G1, G2, B, F2, F8, or C1)
  3. Submit a resume form to the Division of Pesticide Control, including certificates of attendance from the completed training sessions
  4. Pass a written exam administered by the Division of Pesticide Control
  5. Participate in an oral exam, if the written exam is passed. This oral exam will be conducted by a panel from the Division of Pesticide Control

Training Format

Each training category will consist of two sessions:

  • One ONLINE session
  • One IN-PERSON session*

*Note: Participants must attend both the online and in-person sessions to receive a Certificate of Attendance.

All IN-PERSON sessions will be held in the Concord area. 

Study Materials

Study Materials are required if you are planning on testing after the completion of the training. Also if you do not have the most current NH Core of Administrative Rules & Regulations Manual from June 2023, it is highly recommended you order one. If you do not presently have them, please order online at least 10 days before your class.
