Rain Gardens – What are They and Why are They Important? 

Description: A rain garden is a beautiful landscape feature built in a shallow depression designed to capture rain to reduce run-off and pollution. Learn about rain gardens, how to build them, which plants to use and why they are important. Additional information about collecting rainwater will also be discussed. Participants will view a newly rehabilitated raingarden and learn tips from the Extension Master Gardeners who created it.

The presentation will take place indoors rain or shine. Outdoor portion will take place unless there is heavy rain, come prepared to be outside for 10-15 minutes.
