The UNH Extension Women in Agriculture program is excited to bring back this popular workshop! Designed to offer a practical and immersive learning opportunity, this event is perfect for new and beginning farmers, equine enthusiasts, or those who need to transport animals or materials as part of their farm operations.

Participants in this hands-on workshop will learn:

  • How to safely hitch and unhitch a bumper pull trailer
  • How to conduct a pre-trip checklist for their truck and trailer
  • How to operate, maneuver, position, and back up a truck and trailer
  • Communication and planning skills when operating equipment

This workshop offers four time slots, please sign up for the one time slot that best meets your scheduling needs. Each session will have the same format, materials, instructor, and equipment.  There are three participants maximum for each time slot. The cost for this event is $35.

Please note: participants must be 18 years of age or older and must have a current, valid drivers license to participate. This workshop does not offer any sort of commercial certification or for-hire transportation advice. Participants will be required to sign a liability waiver.

This workshop offers a safe space for all participants to learn and engage; we encourage those who may need accommodations to reach out to kendall.kunelius@unh.edu. This workshop is taught by women, for women and women-identifying persons.
