Corn and Forage Research Update
A review of corn and forage-related research underway at the W.H. Miner Agricultural Research Institute. Specific topics will include the use of biological soil amendments and seed treatments, management of western bean cutworm in corn, and forage quality considerations.

Extending Forage Bunk Life and Managing Stored Feeds
A discussion of mycotoxins and how they affect feed quality and animal performance. Specific topics include identifying fungal agents responsible for mycotoxins, management recommendations for management both in the field at harvest and bunker management post-harvest, including harvest practices, use of inoculants, and feeding precautions.

Stalk Nitrate Testing for Corn
An overview of the use of the corn stalk nitrate test (CSNT) as a tool for evaluating nitrogen applications to corn. The presentation will review procedures for the CSNT, interpretation of results, and applications for making nutrient management decisions.

UNH Corn Trial Results
This presentation will cover results of a corn hybrid trial conducted at the UNH campus. In addition to yield and quality data, we will present remote data sensing images used to evaluate crop health and discuss the potential for this technology in early detection of corn disease pressure.
