4-H Winter Recreation Challenge 2024

Enrollment is open through ZSuites 

 The Winter Recreation Challenge is here!  This challenge encourages you to get out and stay active during the winter months.  

For this challenge you should participate in 2 hikes and one additional winter recreational activity.  Additional activities are ice skating, horseback riding, snow shoeing, ice fishing, cross country skiing, tubing or sledding, build a snow sculpture, or downhill skiing or snowboarding. 

Please provide photos of each hike and the additional activity to document you completed the challenge.

Do the Challenge, fill out your record book and send it back to your county 4-H office for a patch!

The Challenge runs from December 21, 2024 to March 22, 2025. Register by contacting your county 4-H office or through ZSuite.

HOW THE CHALLENGE OPERATES:

  1. Choose 2 hikes and one additional activity from the list.

  1. Capture photos to demonstrate your participation.

  1. Fill out a logbook. The pages will guide you through the challenge. You will need to take photos, print them, and adhere them to this logbook.

  1. Return your filled-out logbook to your county 4-H office by March 28, 2025

  1. We will send your completed logbook and your limited-edition Winter Recreation Challenge patch back to you. Youth Participants must be an enrolled 4-H member or Cloverbud to be eligible to earn the patch and other awards.
