Field Session: Cedar Stream Road, Clarksville NH
As we have been venturing out onto our woodlands, we have been noticing something different about our Balsam Fir. The ‘white stuff’ on the trunks of many of these trees is from the Balsam Woolly Adelgid. Join us for a day of discussions about the insect pest and its life cycle, as well as some options/suggestions for us all to consider as we manage our forests. Special consideration will be given to potential effects of these management options on our wintering wildlife.
Outdoor afternoon session will likely require snowshoes to access the area where we will see some of this infestation firsthand.
Registration is required. In order to ensure this program is accessible for all, there are four registration fee options - $0, $5, $10, or $20. Please pay what you can.
