Working with Women Forestland Owners

-
Online Only

This presentation will provide foresters and other natural resources professionals with valuable insights and practical strategies to effectively engage and collaborate with women landowners. Participants will be introduced to the importance of working with women landowners, primary barriers to their participation in forest management, and suggestions to create a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages women landowners to actively participate in management. By incorporating specific strategies and approaches into their work, foresters and other natural resources professionals can foster more inclusive, collaborative, and equitable relationships with women landowners that result in more effective forest management.

This webinar is hosted by Women in the Woods, a collaboration between UNH Cooperative Extension, NH Timberland Owners Association, the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests, and other partners aimed at connecting women forest landowners, managers, and stewards with the resources, skills, and community they need to make informed stewardship decisions that promote healthy forest resources. Funding for this program provided by a Landscape Scale Restoration Grant, U.S. Forest Service.
