Conservation Easements are detailed legal documents that can be tricky to read and understand. Join Barbara (NHACC), Sara (UNH Extension) and other conservation easement experts for a unique opportunity to participate in a small group discussion to answer your questions!
The objective of these discussions is to offer guidance on how to review the conservation easement, discover what sections apply to your questions and concerns, and what to consider when reviewing an easement document. This program will also highlight how to find additional information that may be needed to enforce the terms of the easement, why it is important to uphold the easement terms, and when to involve an attorney. Panelists will not be giving legal advice.
This small group session is designed for Conservation Commissions and as a follow up to the Demystifying Conservation Easements Webinar. Interested participants will be asked to collaborate with other members of their Conservation Commission to share a description of their specific circumstances or question and share the relevant conservation easement. All participants will be asked to attend or watch the recording of the Demystifying Conservation Easements Webinar before participating.
Participants who indicate interest in the discussion sessions when signing up for the 'Demystifying Conservation Easements Webinar' will receive a follow up email with a request for more information and registration options for the discussion session
To ensure individualized support, discussion sessions will be limited to four different Conservation Commissions for each session.
