Every Part Has a Name! Anatomy Challenge [4-H Activity]

Make a model or a drawing of any animal (including human) anatomical system or part!

Seniors should choose an internal body system and create a model or detailed drawing showing the parts of the body system in their chosen species.  Intermediates may make a model or a drawing or internal or external anatomy.  Juniors and Cloverbuds should draw an animal and label the basic body parts. You can draw on paper or on a toy animal (get permission first).

If you choose to make a model, feel free to be creative and use whatever you have available at home (packing material, fabric, TP tubes, craft supplies, etc.). We have included examples for you here!

  • Seniors (age 14-18): choose an internal anatomy system such as respiratory, mammary, dental, digestive, reproductive (male or female), circulatory, integumentary (skin), eye, nervous system, etc. and show the major parts of the system you chose.
  • Intermediates (age 11-13): can choose from any of the above or make a drawing showing detailed external anatomy showing at least 30 body parts
  • Juniors (age 8-10): show at least 20 body parts
  • Cloverbuds (age 5-7): show at least 15 body parts
