Science Bonanza - Water Transport in Plants

Have you ever wondered how plants are able to pull water out of the ground? Youth will learn how some basic physical principles and plant structures allow water to reach the top of a flower or a towering tree.

Ages 8-10

This workshop includes using scissors or a sharp knife. Parent supervision or assistance may be needed.

Materials Needed: 2-3 water glasses, water, food coloring, 2-3 fresh white carnations OR 2-3 celery stalks, sharp knife or scissors, cutting board
