The Master Wellness Volunteer Program is an opportunity for adults to take part in a series of learning sessions focused on creating community change for health. Volunteers will participate in an initial core training followed by a pathway-specific training that builds a toolbox for impacting individual and community health factors, environments, and systems.
Adults who want to create a culture of health in NH communities are eligible to participate in this program, although space is limited. Volunteers will undergo a standard background screening before admission.
Topics covered include:
- nutrition
- physical activity
- disease prevention
- health equity
- public speaking skills
- and so much more!
Every Tuesday** a new topic will be presented with opportunities to:
- Learn on one's own time and pace with selected, assigned articles and videos
- Connect with other participants through an online forum.
- Interact with other volunteers and guest speakers during the virtual sessions
**Because this program is designed to encourage individual and community growth, it is important to participate in ALL of the independent learning and live sessions possible.
Time Commitment:
The Master Wellness Volunteer program will require a total of 30 - 40 hours to complete: After 20 hours of core training, volunteers will branch out into their 10 -20 hours of specialized pathway training that they can choose to participate in.
Specialized pathway training sessions will focus on one of the following topics:
- Walk With Ease SM
- Food Access
- Vaccine Education
