Producers are taking a greater interest in using farm-grown grains in their feeding programs. We’ll discuss the nutritional profile of small grains, and how they can best fit into dairy and livestock rations. We’ll also discuss harvest and storage considerations to prevent mycotoxins, along with proper scouting techniques and timing, assessing crop injury, and management practices for common weed, disease, and insect pests in small grains.
