New Hampshire Winery Association Twilight Meeting

Join the New Hampshire Winery association as we explore what it takes to start a vineyard. This workshop is geared toward new and aspiring growers who are looking to understand the nuts and bolts of grape growing in NH. Concepts covered will include site selection, field preparation, trellising and funding opportunities. There will be ample time during the sessions for questions, so come with your list! Experienced growers would benefit from a review of the provided information as well. A local wine tasting will cap off the evening and allow for great networking Opportunities. Cost: Free

3 pm: welcome and Introductions

3:15 pm: Site selection criteria and preparation considerations

Dr. Rebecca sideman, Department Chair and Professor, UNH Agriculture, Nutrition, and Food Systems

4 pm: Trellis design and cost considerations

David Kennard, Owner of Wellscroft Fence systems

4:45pm: Opportunities for cost sharing assistance within vineyard production

Jessica Rock, district conservationist, natural resource conversation service (NRCS)

5 pm: Wrap up and adjourn, networking opportunity and wine tasting
