Is your farm ready for a new website? In an age where consumers are increasingly searching the internet to discover and connect with local businesses, a website serves as your digital storefront and virtual business card. Your online presence showcases the unique story of your farm and can provide a convenient platform for customers to explore your products, place orders, and stay updated on upcoming events or seasonal offerings.

You don’t need to be a tech genius or hire expensive professionals to create a simple site that builds trust, shares your farming practices, and fosters a sense of community with your customers. Join UNH Cooperative Extension and Gabrielle Chiddy for a six-part workshop series. In this series we'll guide you step by step, empowering you to create a website that not only reflects the authenticity of your farm brand but also opens new avenues for direct interaction with your customer base.

  • Hosted by Jesse Wright, Agricultural Business Management Field Specialist at UNH Cooperative Extension and Gabe Chiddy, Graphic & Web Designer and from Chiddy Designs.

  • Participants will meet in person to kick off the class, Saturday, January 11 in Boscawen, NH and then on Zoom, every Thursday evening from January 16-February 13 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

  • Each session online, will start out with an overview of the evening’s concept followed by live demonstrations, Q&A. The goal is to be working on your new website as we go, with support from professionals to get you through any sticking points or roadblocks in both website and content development.

  • The website platform we will be using for this course is Wix. Participants are responsible for their own Wix fees should they choose to move forward with the platform.

  • Participants should have ample time to participate in the course and plan to attend each session. To make the most of the live course time, participants will have pre-work and homework assignments. Reviewing the assigned materials (articles, videos, and podcasts) is expected and will ensure that each participant understands the background marketing purpose of some of the essential website components.

  • Each participant who completes the course will receive one hour of free one on one technical assistance from Gabrielle Chiddy Designs in the weeks following the course (must be booked within two months).

  • Thanks to generous grant funding, this course is free for participants.

  • The first step in signing up is to complete this application. Registration is limited to 25 farms. Priority will be given to NH farms who can commit fully.
