Serving Size
  • 1 1/2 Cups

  • 1 1/2 lbs. beef chuck stew meat cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2-3 onions, chopped
  • 6 small potatoes, quartered
  • 3 celery stalks, sliced
  • 2 medium carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 Tbsp. Worchestershire sauce

  • Cooking time: 8-10 hours on low heat or 5-6 hours on high heat.

Start by washing your hands with warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds before and after handling food.

    1. Place meat in slow cooker. Sprinkle flour and pepper over meat and stir to evenly coat. There is no need to rinse meat prior to placing it in the slow cooker. Be sure to wash your hands after handling meat.
    2. Remove the outer skin from the garlic and onion. Scrub onion, garlic, potatoes and celery with a vegetable brush under running water, pat dry with paper towels, prepare as directed and place in the slow cooker.
    3. Add remaining ingredients and stir well.
    4. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 5-6 hours, or until meat is tender.
    5. Stir thoroughly before serving.
