An LLC form of business ownership can be used as a tool to transfer a farm to another generation. It can also offer many protections that a sole proprietor or a group of partners need to shield personal assets from the risks of the business. Despite the simplicity of setting up an LLC, there are several points to consider and be cautious of when setting one up for your farm.
