Part of the Workshop Series: The Business of Growing Christmas Trees - from Site Selection to Sales
(This is the fourth and final workshop in the series. Attendees are welcome to participate in this workshop regardless of whether they attended previous sessions.)
Join long-time Christmas tree grower Nigel Manley for a session on site selection, soil testing, tree species selection, site preparation, planting, weed control, and fertilizing. Rachel Maccini, UNH Extension Field Specialist – Pesticide Safety Education, and Heather Bryant, UNH Extension Field Specialist - Food and Agriculture, will also present on pesticide licensing and soil sampling. Jim Frohn, UNH Extension Forester for Grafton County, will be in attendance to assist with the workshop and entertain questions.
