Volunteers and Leaders were Honored for their Commitment to the Grafton County 4-H Program

Head Heart Hands Health

On October 24, the Grafton County Youth Leadership Council hosted the second annual Appreciation Event where they honored all volunteers and leaders for their commitment to the 4-H program.  During the event, the teen council presented five special awards: Head, Heart, Hands, Health, and Legacy.

The HEAD award is presented to someone who is creative in their thinking and planning of events and meetings.  This year's recipient is:  Jodie Lang

The HEART award is given to someone who loves 4-H and bleeds green.  This year's recipients are three sisters:  Van Anderson, Marge Moore, Shirley Gould

The HANDS award is reserved for an individual who is always willing to lend a hand and is known as a “worker bee”.  This year's recipient is:  Gloria Smith

The HEALTH award is presented to an individual who encourages healthy living.  This year's recipient is:  Amy Gall

The LEGACY award is given to someone who has left their mark and impact on 4-Her’s, past and present.  This year's recipient is:  Esther Christy, 4-H Leader for over 50 Years
