Amy Hollar joined UNH Extension in June 2020.  She serves as the State Specialist and Area of Expertise Chair for Healthy Living, and is an Extension Associate Professor with the Department of Agriculture, Nutrition, and Food Systems. She is the Director for the UNH Nutrition Connections Program, which includes serving as the state coordinator and PI for the New Hampshire Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) and Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) Programs. Nutrition Connections Extension Teachers and Specialists work across the state of New Hampshire to implement strategies to encourage healthy habits and help people avoid chronic diseases. 

Amy holds a Bachelors degree from Keene State College and a Masters degree from the University of Cincinnati. She is a Registered Dietitian and has previously worked for University of Maryland Extension and Ohio State University Extension. Amy loves spending every day trying to better her community by making "the healthy choice the easy choice".
