Brenda Carey
Brenda Carey teaches income eligible families, seniors and youth how to make lifestyle changes for better health. Brenda has a master’s degree and has worked with Nutrition Connections since 2000. Her work includes nutrition education programs in schools, healthy living programs for seniors, adults and families, and partnering with other community health organizations such as the local public health initiatives, mental health centers, homeless shelters, wellness committees, and food pantries. Brenda's Cooking Matters for Families Program has been very successful and has provided nutrition, cooking lessons and groceries for individuals and families all over Belknap County through partnerships and funding from the NH Food Bank as well as the host organization. This program and many others help participants save money while making healthy lifestyle choices.
