Welcome to the Strafford County 4-H program.  4-H provides a safe environment to allow young people the space and mentorship to learn by doing.  Youth complete hands-on projects in areas like health, science, agriscience, and citizenship. From the age of 8 years old 4-Her's receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles.

Strafford County 4-H offers many different ways to participate in 4-H: 

  • Community Clubs

  • In-school and afterschool enrichment programs
  • Events
    • Nutrition and physical activity
    • Service Learning
    • STEM
    • Sewing
    • Outdoor Education 
    • Peer Leadership 
    • Shooting Sports 
    • Large and small animals (horse, dairy, sheep, poultry, working steer, goats, etc.)
    • Cloverbuds (ages 5-7)
