Through her time studying and working as an engineer, she developed a passion for helping to increase diversity in the engineering fields. In her free time during graduate school, she worked with a student organization to create experimental lab kits for students at universities in East Africa. The goal was to increase their access to hands-on learning and help bridge the scientific knowledge gap between the US and Africa. Megan is very excited to now be joining the STEM Discovery Lab and hopes to develop programs that are engaging and exciting for youth from all different backgrounds and to inspire some to pursue STEM disciplines.
Megan received her PhD and MS in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and her BS in Mechanical Engineering from Binghamton University.
