Working in Carroll County with youth programming

Beth Thomas

UNH Cooperative Extension is pleased welcome Beth Thomas who will be working as a Natural Resource Steward Intern in in Carroll County to facilitate and promote environmental 4-H youth programming . She is passionate about supporting outdoor recreation opportunities and local conservation efforts. Beth works with members of the Sandwich community to coordinate programming efforts, expanding connections with 4-H'ers and local organizations. She also supports natural resource management at Mead Base Conservation Center, located in the southernmost portion of the White Mountain National Forest.

Beth is currently an undergraduate student attending UNH, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies. After her anticipated graduation in the spring of 2023, she plans to complete a master’s degree in Elementary Education through the accelerated program at UNH. She hopes to work as a teacher during the school year while pursuing a career in conservation during her summers off.
