The annual Tom Fairchild Friend of 4-H Golf Tournament provides a fun day on the green to support New Hampshire 4-H'ers. Golfers of all skill levels are invited to join the 4-H Foundation Board at Pembroke Pines Country Club in Pembroke, New Hampshire on Friday, September 13, 2024.
What is the 4-H Foundation?
The 4-H Foundation’s mission is to cultivate and steward financial resources to support all New Hampshire youth in belonging to the 4-H community, propelling them to reach their fullest potential as skilled, compassionate and responsible individuals.
Thanks in part to generous donors, including at the annual golf tournament, the 4-H Foundation awarded over $100,000 in funding to outstanding 4-H programs throughout New Hampshire in the 2023 fiscal year. The 2024 fiscal year goal is $150,000.
Why is the 4-H Foundation work important?
4-H is the largest youth organization in the country with more than six million members. Youth build life skills by leading hands-on projects in areas like science, health, agriculture and civic engagement – helping them to grow confidence, independence, resilience and compassion. Adult mentors provide a positive environment where they learn by doing. This 4-H experience is delivered by a community of more than 100 public universities across the nation.
4-H gives young people guidance, tools and encouragement and then puts them in the driver’s seat to make great things happen. Independent research proves the unparalleled impact of the 4-H experience in the lives of youth.
