We are excited to welcome Sara Callaghan to the Natural Resources Team and Rockingham County as our new Community Conservation Field Specialist, effective Monday, September 30, 2024.
Sara is a UNH alum, having received both a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Environmental Conservation, and a Master’s degree in Natural Resources with a concentration in Wildlife. Sara is an established professional in the conservation community in New Hampshire. She has worked as an Easement Steward for the Society for the Protection of NH Forests, a Land Agent for Strafford Rivers Conservancy (now part of Southeast Land Trust of New Hampshire), and most recently as a Conservation Consultant, running her own business, Firefly Stewardship, LLC. In her role as a consultant, she worked as the Landowner Outreach Coordinator for the Northwood Area Land Management Collaborative, the Easement Monitor for the Town of Newfields, and the Land Stewardship Coordinator for the Town of Durham.
In her new role, Sara will provide assistance and support to communities around land conservation and stewardship in Rockingham County and beyond. We are excited to have Sara on our team. Please give her a warm welcome when you see her.
