STEM Docent volunteers, Connor Burton and Gary Tesch, participated in STEAM Day at Little Harbour Elementary School in Portsmouth, NH. Their goal, along with volunteers from other organizations, was to help Little Harbour’s 5th graders get excited about STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics). Burton and Tesch engaged students in the engineering design of wooden mousetrap powered cars, and challenged the students to make the model cars run as far as possible. Read the full story here.
