On a cold day make this easy soup recipe in a slow cooker or on the stovetop.

Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef or ground turkey
1 onion
1 16-oz. can chili beans with liquid
1 15-oz. can kindey beans with liquid
1 15-oz. can no-salt whole kernel corn with liquid
2 8-oz. cans no-salt tomato sauce
1 28-oz. can no-salt diced tomatoes
1 4-oz. can diced green chili peppers
1 cup water
4 cups low-sodium beef broth or 4 cups water and 4 bouillon cubes
2 Tbsp. taco seasoning mix
Slow Cooker Directions:
- Wash hands with soap and water.
- Put meat in a medium skillet. Wash hands after touching raw meats.
- Cook the meat over medium heat until browned. Drain fat.
- While the meat cooks, chop the onion.
- Place the ground cooked and drained meat, onion, chili beans, kidney beans, corn, tomato sauce, diced tomaotes, water, green chili peppers, beef broth and taco seasoning mix in a slow cooker. Mix to blend.
- Cook on low setting for eight hours.
Stovetop Directions:
- Wash hands with soap and water.
- Put meat in a soup pot. Wash hands after touching raw meats.
- Cook the meat over medium heat until browned.
- While the meat cooks chop the onion.
- Add onion, sauté about 3 minutes.
- Add remaining ingredients and mix.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat, simmer for 30 minutes.
