Our Values Define Us

Sunrise at Hampton Beach NH

Given the death of George Floyd and the public response to this tragedy, we think it is important to remind ourselves as well as our participants that the spirit of UNH Extension is accessibility and inclusion. Our goal is to provide impactful resources and programs for everyone regardless of race, gender identity, religion, age, sexuality or socioeconomic status. We have placed a priority on “Meeting People Where They Are” regardless of who they are.

We also are champions of an informed and empowered citizenry. As a public university, we have an obligation to fight ignorance, intolerance and bias, and engage in ways that lead to solutions to societal issues. We invite everyone to explore these important issues and resources and to become part of the solution.

In this time, we renew our commitment to fostering a culture of inclusivity where all are safe and welcomed as coworkers, participants and volunteers. As Coretta Scott King said, "The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members."
