students at the salt marsh
Hands-On Activities

Gracie Ballou, Coastal Ecosystem Education Coordinator, has been working with students and teachers at Seabrook Middle School as they study the amazing American eel and all things related to the Seabrook-Hampton Estuary. Her support has been providing professional development opportunities and resources for future research projects at the school.

Sea Grant Extension staff and volunteers went out last week with students and teachers for the first time! Getting dirty, catching fish, collecting water quality data, and observing the great marsh around them were just a few of the highlights of the day. I think this experience, and many others to come, will leave a lasting impression on the students and community.
