What is Giving Tuesday?

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving that is held on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving in the United States. In 2024, it falls on December 3. It was created as a day to encourage people to do good by giving back to their communities through donations, volunteering and acts of kindness. This day serves as a reminder that the holiday season is not just about receiving, but also about giving and making a positive impact on the lives of others.

How Can You Help Make a Difference?

Whether you choose to give a one-time donation or become a recurring supporter, every dollar counts. Your generosity enables Extension to continue offering vital services and expanding our reach to more individuals and families in need.

Help Promote Mental Health and Resilience

In today's fast-paced world, mental health challenges are more prevalent than ever. Extension offers crucial support through workshops and resources designed to promote mental health and resilience. By donating, your gift could support the Mental Health First Aid® program, which teaches participants how to assist someone experiencing mental health challenges.

Encourage Healthy Lifestyles

From nutrition workshops to physical activity initiatives, Extension educators empower individuals to make healthier choices. Your donation can help our programs reach more people with the knowledge and tools they need to lead healthier lives. The Nutrition Pantry Program assists New Hampshire-based food pantries with implementing an integrative approach to nourish all, while Nutrition Connections provides limited-resource families with the knowledge and skills they need for better health. Extension also works with older adults, teaching them techniques to boost brain health, walk with greater ease and manage their chronic conditions.

Inspire True Leaders Through 4-H

4-H is the largest youth organization in the country with more than six million members. Youth build life skills by leading hands-on projects in areas like science, health, agriculture and civic engagement, helping them to grow confidence, independence, resilience and compassion. Adult mentors provide a positive environment where youth learn by doing.  When you make a gift to 4-H, you're helping young people receive the guidance, tools and encouragement they need to make great things happen.
