Instead of the traditional cut flowers or candy that last a short time, how about a gift that keeps on giving. In this week’s segment at Osborne’s Agway we look at some gifts that can provide long lasting enjoyment for your valentine, benefit pollinators and wildlife, and support the livelihoods of others through fair trade or locally made products. Some examples include:

  • Beautiful potted perennials that support pollinators like miniature roses or flowering spring bulbs that can be planted in the spring and will comeback every year.

  • A birdbath heater that will provide much needed water and attract many birds or a suet feeder that provides fat and protein through the long winter.

  • Fairtrade garden decorations that support the Earth and provide proper payment and working conditions.

  • If you still want to give something sweet, how about NH products with maple or honey.
