March 5th – 9th is National School Breakfast Week, a weeklong program designed to raise awareness of the School Breakfast Program in school communities.

Did you know students who eat school breakfast are more likely to maintain a healthy weight; have better concentration and memory; reach higher levels of achievement in reading and math, and score higher on standardized tests? Eating school breakfast is also associated with fewer behavioral problems, reduced visits to the nurse’s office and lower rates of absenteeism and tardiness and higher grades.

Check out your child's school’s menu and see what’s for breakfast.
