Join us on April 19th to dig-in on soil health! This on-farm twilight meeting at Heron Pond Farm in South Hampton will highlight how to build and improve soil health, through an integrated approach to cover cropping. There will be a walking tour of a multi-species mix of over-wintered cover crops. We will evaluate stand cover, infiltration rates, soil health, and discuss changes in soil-life as a result of cover crops. Heron Pond Farm has experimented with no-till seeding using no-till drills, available to rent through the NHACD. The no-till drill will be on display as well as a new 2-row roller crimper for vegetable systems. The meeting will run from 3-5pm. Two PAT Credits have been approved. This meeting is sponsored by Northeast SARE. Please contact vicky@rockinghamccd.org or (603) 679-2790 with questions.
