Find healthy foods even when the weather's cold

Cartons of peas and bundles of kale for sale at a farmers market.

Winter doesn't necessarily mean you have to miss out on eating fresh, healthy and local foods. Winter farmers markets are becoming more popular in the Granite State, and chances are there is a winter market somewhere near you. For a full list of New Hampshire winter farmers markets, check out this guide from the New Hampshire Department of Agriculture, Markets & Food. The guide also includes information on markets that participate in the Granite State Market Match program, which makes it easier for SNAP/EBT benefit recipients to shop at farmers markets. Pull on your boots, grab your coat and head down to your local winter farmers market!
